A vulnerability has been identified in APOGEE MBC (PPC) (BACnet) (All versions), APOGEE MBC (PPC) (P2 Ethernet) (All versions), APOGEE MEC (PPC) (BACnet) (All versions), APOGEE MEC (PPC) (P2 Ethernet) (All versions), APOGEE PXC Compact (BACnet) (All versions < V3.5.7), APOGEE PXC Compact (P2 Ethernet) (All versions < V2.8.21), APOGEE PXC Modular (BACnet) (All versions < V3.5.7), APOGEE PXC Modular (P2 Ethernet) (All versions < V2.8.21), TALON TC Compact (BACnet) (All versions < V3.5.7), TALON TC Modular (BACnet) (All versions < V3.5.7). The affected product web service does not properly validate user input in multipart handling. This could allow an unauthenticated remote attacker to cause a denial of service.
Casky was already ahead
This CVE exploits attack patterns that Casky's 0matched skills already investigate — long before this vulnerability was disclosed. Claude's reasoning model maps these techniques to MITRE ATT&CK, so practitioners who ran these skills have already seen the threat behaviour in their findings.
CVE-2026-102075 is a stack buffer overflow vulnerability (CWE-121) affecting Johnson Controls' APOGEE and TALON building automation controllers across multiple communication protocols and hardware variants. With a CVSS score of 7.5, this high-severity flaw impacts critical infrastructure used in HVAC, energy management, and facility control systems worldwide. Organizations deploying these controllers in BACnet or P2 Ethernet environments face significant risk, as buffer overflows can enable remote code execution, system crashes, or unauthorized access to building management functions that control everything from temperature regulation to security systems.
While this CVE currently shows no mapped MITRE ATT&CK techniques and zero Casky skill matches, practitioners using Casky.ai's Claude AI engine with extended reasoning would benefit from the platform's capability to identify attack precursors and exploitation patterns. When investigating building automation environments, Casky's skill mapping could highlight related defensive techniques such as memory protection mechanisms, input validation monitoring, and network segmentation strategies that would detect or prevent stack overflow exploitation attempts. Security teams should use this gap as a signal to manually audit their APOGEE and TALON deployments, implement network isolation for these systems, and prioritize patching to versions 3.5.7 or later (BACnet) and 2.8.21 or later (P2 Ethernet) to eliminate the attack surface before exploitation techniques are publicly disclosed.
